If you were at Track racing this Wednesday (tonight) you will know that one of our Junior Development riders was bucked off his bike in the first round.

I will post info about Joshua's condition here as I get hold of it.

Cheers Paul

Hi all

Thanks for the info.

I have spoken to Brain Petersen 8.45am Thursday. He is currently at Westmead Hospital with Joshua.

Joshua was airlifted down from Gosford last night [ 1.00am ] to be seen by the specialist Neurological team there.

He is currently in Intensive Care. The good news is that they will move him into a ward this afternoon for observation [ standard procedure ] for a few days.

He has a few bruises and scrapes – but these are of less concern.

Father Brian hopes to have him at the track next Wednesday

 Hope the update helps.

Skein is temporary, knitting isn't.

Just a quick update on Joshua:

He's still at Westmead Childrens' Hospital and his father expects him to be discharged in the next couple of days as the doctors have given him the all clear both physically and neurologically.

Don't be surprised if you see them down at the track on Wednesday if Joshua is feeling up to it.

Hi guys – Young Josh [ who fell at the track last Wednesday ] is up and around in Westmead Hospital.

He is feeling fine – though a little bit deaf in one ear. They think some blood leaked into that canal and will check him out tomorrow. Due for release Monday or Tuesday and dad Brian hopes to have him at the track on Wednesday [ to watch only this week ].

With Regards

We should try and get a getwell card perhaps and all sign it on Wednesday night and present it to him if he turns up.

What does everybody think.

Joshua was at the track sporting a few flesh wounds and looking a little tired, but otherwise OK.  Mum and dad were very obviously happy that everything has turned out as well as it has.  It would have been a very scary time for them over the first few days.

Fantastic to see Joshua up and about. Smiley
