CCCC Track News 09/10

2009/10 Track season starts this week!  
•   Hi guys welcome to the first news letter for the 2009/10 season
•   Last year was an amazing success with fantastic racing and great fun throughout the season.
•   Again this year we will be encouraging a fun but competitive atmosphere


This week
•   Round 1 Warm up Scratch
•   Round 2  3 lap H’cap    
•   Round 3  1 lap TT  
•   Round 4  Point a Lap
•   Round 5 Italian



Helpers needed
•   Who can help out?
•   Got a wife? Got a mom? Got a Friend? Got a secret Lover?
•   Anyone can help out!



Sing on’s
•   Please sign on as soon as you arrive
•   When you sign on please look at your H’cap mark (make sure it is correct Starts Nov)
•   The sign on will be in grades and in point score order.



Just to confirm the Format please familiarise yourself with the below times

•   5:15pm Junior development starts with Michael
•   Track is open for Junior Development riders only!
•   5:45pm Track is now open for all be aware of juniors
•   6pm Juniors to vacate Track!
•   Warm up period
•   6:28pm Bell rings
•   6:30pm Junior Development Race
•   Round 1 Warm up Scratch
•   Junior Development Handicaps
•   Round 2 Handicaps
•   Round 3 Sprint event
•   Round 4 Endurance  Race
•   Round 5 Warm down Or Special Race
•   Night will conclude at no latter than 9pm



Point score Starts November
The season long point score will start in November, this will be called  week 1.  
Points are awarded in the following manner
•   Participation for the night scores 5 points
•   The top 4 of each Handicap score 5, 3, 2 and 1 point respectively
•   On even weeks the top 4 of the endurance round score 5, 3, 2 and 1 point respectively
•   On odd weeks the top 4 of the sprint round score 5, 3, 2 and 1 point respectively
•   Each rider is entitled to 4 byes--- Meaning if you miss a week you score the basic 5 points for four occasions only
•   Place getting points will be doubled for the last 4 weeks.
•   All grades are combined in the point score  (bar Junior Dev)

Never forget the best races are the ones you can have a laugh at with your mates.




The Central Coast Classic
•   As I hope you are all aware the Track open is on October 31 with the Country Championships to follow the next day.
•   As members of CCCC I would urge you to check the priority list below to see how you could help.
1.    Ride the Open and Countries.
2.   If you are not riding offer to help out
3.    Sponsor the event
4.    If you can’t commit to helping, be there as a spectator.

Did anyone pick up a black 'Zero' track pump? I seem to not have mine and i'm hoping I didnt leave it sitting there

Cass smashed her previous track record by over 1 second

however we only had one stop watch on her so the time will not count as a record

We would have put two watches on her if she had said " hey guys could be a record" before hand

Likewise Andrew Baker who bettered the track record as well!
