I would just like to say a huge thank you to Russell and all the other parents who helped Lincoln and Amelia (and Lydia) with thier first night of track racing. They had a ball and were on a massive high all the way home!!
I think its safe to say they are totally hooked and are already telling us they "need" the proper clothes for next week. Roll Eyes
I think they may have even convinced thier dad to have a go too.
Thanks again everyone(you too Kylie for being "sensible").

Counting the entry money, there was only $50 added from the 21 entrants

It looks like some people may have put money in the wrong tin.  “ Oops”

The senior tin is the Black metal rectangle flip lid box as apposed to the junior tin which is the Black metal rectangle flip lid box

Please try not to confuse them.

CCCC Track November 04 2009

Week 1 of Point score

Last week
•   Wicked night of racing
•   Mick dominated the handicap Miss’n’Out
•   It was good to see David O’Bajden on the track again.

This week
•   Round 1 Warm up Scratch
•   Round 2 3 lap H’cap
•   Round 3  1 lap screamer

•   Round 4    B + C Madilead   and  Madison
•   Round 5  all in Italian

Point Score Starts this week
Points are awarded in the following manner
•   Participation for the night scores 5 points
•   The top 4 of each Handicap score 5, 3, 2 and 1 point respectively
•   On even weeks the top 4 of the endurance round score 5, 3, 2 and 1 point respectively
•   On odd weeks the top 4 of the sprint round score 5, 3, 2 and 1 point respectively
•   Each rider is entitled to 4 byes--- Meaning if you miss a week you score the basic 5 points for four occasions only
•   Place getting points will be doubled for the last 4 weeks.
•   All grades are combined in the point score  (bar Junior Dev)

Handicap System Starts this week
Explanation of the handicap system
•   Every CC track rider is allocated a RAW handicap mark
•   This is the riders 1 lap handicap starting point.
•   If the handicap is over 2 laps the RAW mark is doubled, if 3 laps = triple and so on.
•   This will be their mark for the entire 06/07 season however….......;
•   After each event, results are recorded and Raw marks adjusted as follows;
•   1st place = -10m off RAW handicap 2nd place = -7.5m 3rd place = -5m and 4th place = -2.5m
•   Thus the more you win or place the further back you go.
•   To reach scratch will be a great honour as it means you have won or placed well in a lot of handicaps.
•   This has proven to be  a cool concept as everyone will is well aware of their marks prior to any handicap, it will also be a an interesting battle to see who can be the first rider to make scratchie.
•   AT the end of each month all those who have not competed in that month will lose 10m

Club Track Open
•   Big thanks to major sponsor: Erina Bikeworx
•   Big thanks to minor sponsors: Pushy Galore, Alastair McCausland Plumbing, Gosford Veterinary Hospital,  ATTA NSW and Scholastics book club.
•   Big Thanks to all those who pitched in to help out
•   And Big thanks to all the riders who represented the club so well.
•   Highlights:
•   CCCC team beating Sydney combined.
•   Jackson Law winning the rabbit race.
•   Brianna Hunts domination of U13 girls
•   Guy page’s on form
•   Cass Kell smoking em in the Kierin
•   Nick Yalouris win in the U17/U15 wheelrace.
•   Glen Elton 2nd in the Big one.

Great report as usual Crafty. You didn't give youself a wrap so I will. You are the secret ingredient that makes the ordinary extraordinary. Every race was that much more exciting when you called it on the PA. Thats why the visitors will return to our next Open for good racing, excitement and a well run carnival.

Thanks for a great two days Paul.

Emily is still able to hover just slightly off the ground with the excitement of it all.  Her dark sunken eyes tell me she needs sleep though... Smiley

Update on Paul from cupcake who is on his way home:

Paul will remain under observation at Gosford Hospital for at least the next 4 hours and has had that little gash on the back of his head seen to.

Thanks to everyone who helped out tonight, much appreciated.  I've emailed the senior results to Crafty so they'll be posted once he's up to playing on the computery thing again

See you all next week
