All good!

Home now.
Believe I pulled a foot; I have a vague memory of trying to regain control and then just giving up resigning to the fall.
Very embarrassed (that's my second Track fall in 19 years)
Skin lost = minimal
Cut on head = 2 stitches
Concussion = yes
Memory loss = yes
Memory coming back = quickly
I am very confident I won all my races. But then I read the results which Jock has kindly typed up

Cheers Paul

good to see you are ok crafty.
i have to send you my jersey for cleaning, it has your blood splatter on it after it was flicked off a back wheel as we rode through some of your skull you left on the track.

Crafty, good to hear there is no serious damage other than your ego. I have to say it was a pretty spectacular 'off'- you managed to balance on the front wheel for at least 5m until you spun backwards then it was all over, You should get extra points for flipping your bike a good 20m further down the track too Wink
I'm not sure if the juniors are tough as nails or they're just used to seeing crashes because none of them seemed put off one bit and they were all dead keen to get out and do their italian- very impressive.

Can't believe you are on the puter already.  Shocked  Can't keep a good man down eh Crafty !

Looked pretty spectacular from behind , just glad Whitey and I started a little slow so we were able to avoid you, wouldn't want to have added to your bruising.

Hope you feel OK and recover well  Smiley

So Chicken my pathetic attempt to hold you was actually a premonition of the marvellous theatrics of the interpretive stylised track riding of mastercraft! It was falling with style that led the juniors to think it was all part of the show.
Anyway, Paul it is much appreciated what you do, hope you are being fanned by pharaohs slaves.

Hi All,

My name's Ciaran and I just recently moved up the coast, and was hoping to get involved in track cycling.  I did a small amount of training at the velodrome in Canberra during winter, so was hoping to continue training before I got into proper competition.

Are there any training sessions, other than the Mon/Fri 8am times shown on the CCCC website?  Those times don't really mesh with my work hours, which is a bummer.

I will hopefully be getting along to the Wed night racing at Adcock Park to meet some people, so look out for the awkward guy standing around by himself! Smiley

I'm not able to make it today, but it's good to know that there are sessions in the afternoons.  Thanks for the invite though mate!

What are the banking angles like at Adcock Park?  The velodrome in Canberra is pretty steep for the track length. (333m)  I haven't had a chance to even come down for a squiz yet, such is the life of unpacking boxes.
