I'll chip in a Tenner too.

After watching Phil at DGV get Silver I think he will show a clean set of heels but you never know ,we have riders with current home track advantage.

We might have to wait till after the World cup series to get him here.

What a promo we could put together if he could come. If properly handled it might put local track racing on the map. Maybe other top Sydney riders would come and make it a day race, bit like the Tempe 1000.

Now that Phil is back from China
is someone willing to co-ordinate a date with him to get this show on the road?

OK then Mick.  Have sent a txt already.

If he's doing all the World Cup events then he'll be away around 18-20.01.2008 and 15-17.02.2008.

Got a txt back from Phil.  He's pretty tired, having just got off the plane and onto a train.  I'll get him to ring Mickey tomorrow.  If anyone else wants to tempt Phil back to Adcock Park make sure you commit to the pool which currently stands at $120.00

Back to "real racing" for a moment: it looks like Paul has pulled off another weather miracle with showers expected to clear early tomorrow for another fantastic instalment of CCCC Wednesday Nite Track.  I just hope I can get all my soggy kit dried by then  Roll Eyes

I can confirm that it has rained at Adcock Park at 7 PM on both Monday and Tuesday. Crafty you need to pull out on of your specials for this Wednesday.

i just got off the phone to phil thuaux after offering the official challenge. ( A grade as a team pursuit off against Phil over 4km, Phil by himself and A grade like an Italian) he said if it helps the club out and brings some exposure to our club racing in the media he would love to give it a go!

So its on!

Phil is checking his international racing and training diary and getting back to me with the date that suits him the best.

p.s. im not sure if it was the dodgy phone line, but phil sounded scared! :'(

next.....

we need a team of 8-9 strong riders. post here if you are interested or would like to suggest a rider, once the date is choosen i will ask them if they would like to win some easy cash Grin

also....

shawy (i think you are publicity officer) once we get a date we need to contact some media outlets i.e. express advocate, NBN, cycling nsw (spoken word newsletter) and impact images.
