just in case no-one has found the thread, regarding Wally's email about this sunday's Kooragang team time trial today, there's very small list of people in general discussion, under CD Teams TT - 5 Sep 2010.

that sounded like an interesting race concept with the two stages.  Hopefully we'll do something like that again!

I am down this saturday for commie duties but will be down in the city- is there anyone out there who can fill in?
(btw I am not a commie and would have no idea what to do anyway so it's probably a good thing that I won't be there!!)

Thanks for that Whitey.

Dratt! End of road season! Just when I'm starting to get the hang of it too.

Speaking of which, many thanks to Steve Wickham, Rubicon and Stuart Callan for all the coaching in the last couple of races. I would add you too Vic but you just keep winning so my competitive nature doesn't allow me to give you any credit Wink

Seriously though, no amount of theorising on the forum about how to make CCCC better could possibly have the same effect on my motivation to stay in the sport as the help you guys have given me.  Cheesy  I should add to that the Rev for his help in a road race earlier in the year and several guys on the PiTS ride a few months back (really dying to do that ride again). Also Chicken, White and several others for putting up with my endless questions  Smiley  I'm also well aware there are many others who put in a massive effort. Of course I'm not going to attempt to name them all because I simply couldn't - my memory just isn't that good  Embarrassed . Suffice to say that I reckon CCCC is an excellent club.

It's just a shame it doesn't come across that way on the forum at times. Many threads steer towards the negative side and this is not a true reflection of the people and atmosphere at CCCC. Yet, it's probably the first thing potential new members see.

Perhaps the longer days, warmer weather and start of the Crit and Track season will see things becoming a little more positive and constructive - similar to the help I've been getting on the road course.

Looks like I'm finishing up my Perth stint end of October now so I'm looking forward to attacking that Crit course soon. Would love to give the track a run too but have to sort through logistical issues first.

Thanks again for the great road season; I'm already looking forward to next year.

Couldn't agree with you more Chris. Pretty much everyone I've come into contact with over the last 12 months have been fantastic & really helpful. Most encouraging is the effort this club puts in to its junior talent. Look forward to seeing you back (without the deck chair strapped to your back).  Grin

I'm flattered Chris that you consider my help as valuable  Smiley
After four years as a member (not a long time) I too am still seeking and getting good advice from my fellow members , you never stop learning .
I have to agree wholeheartedly too that CCCC is an excellent club made so by its members,
both the riders and the committee who give their free time up to enable us all to enjoy our sport.

I would have to say that it goes further than just advice on racing or training technique, it is also from a true friendship side that our club and it's members is unique, accepting of anybody no matter what their ability or appearance and always offering encouragement and help whether it relates to cycling or not.

Looking forward to renewing my enthusiasm once again with the onset of the Criterium season. Bring it on Cheesy
