B2B Sun 11 Apr 10
Who else is keen to go again this year. Its a month away  post an EOI if you are going.
Is any one intending to do the short course 70 K that I could nominate to accompany an U/15 rider? (Riders under 15 need an older rider to escort them on this event).

Andrew, we can give you a lift if you are interested but we will be leaving Friday p.m. or very early Sat a.m. to be there for the 8.30 a.m.Sat start of the hillclimb - haven't arranged accommodation yet but hopefully we will get in somewhere not too pricy

The web site is now updated for this year (or at least the link on the cycling NSW link is updated):

www.b2b.asn.au

The 70 km ride looks too easy but the 110 km ride looks a bit hard for me. Hmmmm what to do.

I can assure you, the 70km loop is not 'easy'

The roads are quite dead and slow

Okay, the 70 km ride it is then.

Not having much experience in road cycling, I'll be interested to see what you mean by a "dead and slow" road. I normally like my roads when they're not living or moving  Grin

Hi Darryl,

I'm looking to do the B2B 70km this year. If you haven't already arranged something let me know if you still need a domestique for Pieden. PM me or otherwise I will be at the track tonight if want to discuss.

Cheers mate,

If you ride along the straight stretch of road between Wamberal and Forresters Beach, you'll know what I mean by dead and slow.

Brand new hot mix is the other end of the spectrum, fast and feels nice on your arse.

Speaking of roads, I heard that Rocklea mountain is now sealed, should make life a little easier for the 110km riders and reduce the risk of pinch flats

Of course the main goal of road riding is not to rub your "arse" on the hot mix.    For pure comfort you could try rubbing your "arse" on the lounge which I find to be an extremely nice feeling, particularly with Footy on and a glass of Shiraz in hand. Wink

I like Yoni suggestion but I would prefer watching some great cycling action rather then footy but the Shiraz is a winner for sure and maybe some cheese  Wink

Not for me; I'm staying in Orange with an old school buddy. That sounds rather dangerous the night before the ride doesn't it  Huh
