Anyone keen to race at Beaumont Rd this Sunday? Graded race A-D, hot-dog circuit and usually with good numbers in all grades.

Park and leave RWC at 7.00am SHARP.

Ride to and from race - about 80km in total.

I'm planning to be there, either riding from RWC or driving all the way

Riding down from WGS if anyone is interested.  Will meet up with the RWC boys and go from there.

Check out the calendar.

Beauies starts at 8.15am . Sign on 8am Graded A to E or F most times.

Must have current CA licence and AUS STD's approved helmet will be checked for at sign on.

Last cost was $10 for race. Good prizemoney too as they always have large fields.

What a great morning out!

I was sidelined this morning so decided to head down to Beauie to try my hand at spectator and I was not let down.

CCCC even had 2/3rds of the Cleary family watching.

16 CCCC riders lined up covering all 3 grades (C/D combine)

A grade – Wicky jrn
                Gadjet
                Stumpy
                Nick Y

B Grade – Murphs
              Steely
              Pagey

C Grade – Yoni
               Hugs
               Peiden
               Patto
               TillDog
               Hodgee
               Con Y
               Vic

Hope I didn’t forget anyone.

A grade was on from the gun and didn’t slow for the entire 55mins. The 4 cccc boys (all in orange) rode very well and were working well and doing their bit when needed. 10 mins to go a break of 5 went away and as soon as this happened it was obvious it would be the winning move. It’s a shame no cccc riders made break but all should be happy to finish in such a fast race.

B Grade stayed together for the 50mins and came down to a bunch kick, Murphs was the cccc go to man but found himself slightly out of position with 500mts to go but managed a cliché sprinters move up the inside and was finishing fast and managed to finish 6th.

C Grade, the $$ grade. CCCC loaded this grade and anything less than a win would have been seen as a failure. Yoni attempted a few break away efforts and was riding super strong and leaving some males gasping for air yo-yoing of the back. One of her attempts looked like sticking but Chicken could not hold her wheel therefore couldn’t come through and pull his fair share of turns. The orange army rode very smart and it was unfortunate that their brakes kept rubbing every time they tried to chase Yoni down.
Hugs Started the race in 3rd wheel and spent 99% of the time in said wheel until he got all excited and went for the win dragging Patto to the line in a perfect display of a leadout (it’s a shame Hugs didn’t know he was doing it) Hugs held on for 2nd.  Yoni came screaming up the outside and found herself in 3rd place with 10mts to go which would have given cccc all 3 steps of the podium but Yoni just couldn’t hold it and finished 4th. Maybe Yoni could take training a bit more serious and train harder

Aim is to get 30+ at the BIG Beauie meet on Easter Monday!

Mick I wish you were injured more often..... your skills of race reporting are definitely A Grade.

certainly was a great day starting with the usual warm up from WGS/RWC. I think the ride of the day should go to Peidon with a very strong showing in C grade- always near the front, chasing attacks down and was right there in the last km where I'm sure he just ran out of gears. Yoni also had her usual strong ride with some time off the front and very close to a podium- after stating at the start that she would avoid the bunch sprint Roll Eyes love your work Yoni! Grin
From a C grade perspective we all rode really well together, as Cuppy said we were'nt blocking- just not really helping in the chase of a fellow Coastie! The last km saw almost all of us in with a chance and I have to admit that after coming of Patto's wheel I wasn't expecting to see him on mine! I was more than happy to see another Coastie get up though and it really helped top of a great morning ride.
big thanks to CC the CC of CCCC, DTBM + 1 and DT our support driver for coming along to watch and cheer us on (with a little bit of advice from the sideline which is always appreciated).
Bring on Easter Monday!

Hehe , I know your waiting for my reply  Grin
You forgot to list me in the list of riders TC and what the !
You must have got sidelined for sure , I wasn't even on Yoni's wheel. I seem to remember riding with Simon softpedalling about then until 3 laps to go when Simon instigated a move which helped me take a two lap break on the field. Thanks Simon.
Unfortunately being a solo effort and only early in my training block I ran out of lungs with 750mt to go. Had one last dig with 250 to go as sometimes the sprinters will watch each other but was caught in the final 50m.

I agree with Simon, Peiden surprised me by not only keeping up with the bunch riding from RWC but raced extremely well and then rode all the way back. When he gets older he is going to be a challenger in A for sure.  Wink

Great day of racing , good ride home too.

A grades race was an absolute screamer. Even Stumpy said afterwards he didn't think he was going to be able to take too many more laps of the pace they set in the opening 15 mins.

No Yoni , more like B grade reporting.  Grin

Thanks for the experience of riding with the orange vitamin C bunch yesterday. Pity I couldn't sustain the pace until the end but that would have been expecting a bit much of myself. Well done guys and gals.
