I am not going to spill anyone's news..... but prepare for tales of PB's.  Went to DGV today to watch some of the mature ones battling it out in the IP.   

He does not do the forum thing so I will tell you that Stapo in his first ever IP came within 0.8 of a second of qualifying for the final of MMAS 5.    He drew Steve Darracott to ride with and started slower.... but the ITT legs kicked in and he rode an awesome race - with none of the aero gear on.

I hate to do the feminist thing.... but the best race of today was watching Michelle Crawford absolutely flying on that track!

You meant Stapo nearly made the 3-4 runoff I guess?  (ie. not "the" 1-2 final)?
All I can see on CNSW is Darracott 2.28 vs Stapo 2.37 - Darracott would have (near) caught him with this difference...
Wonder what Mark could do if he did some real track training - like you say he has a great motor Smiley
