Ok. thought we were using road bikes on Monday as suggested last night? Doubly confused?  Huh

Also, Linda is keen to join the juniors/womens section on Monday night, does she need to be a licenced rider?

And, whats the format for that?

I dont want to encourage her to attend to find out its an hour of 200m flys ....I kind of like my anatomy intact   Grin

Damon Scarfe (el Presidente) will be running the Monday night sessions.

Not sure what his plans are, but I highly doubt it will be 2 hours of 200m flys.

Steve, yes Linda will have to be licensed because it is a club sanctioned training event.

Col, I've lost track of whether it is road or track bikes on Monday nights or if the night is even open for senior men? Hopefully Whitey or someone else knows

My understanding from conversations and the last club meeting is that all winter nights training at the track are on Road Bikes. Monday night is a special night for the kids and ladies and Damon will be doing some coaching and bike setups and stuff. I am going to take my bike on Monday as I dont think the kids and ladies will use the track for the whole booked 3 hours (6 to 9). Wednesday night is juniors from 6 to 7:15 and then it is open track until 9pm, again on road bikes. Unless oldtimers disease has taken hold this is my understanding :-)

OK
Next Monday night will be: CENTRAL COAST CYCLE CLUB TRAINING
6PM-7:30PM Damon is keen to run skills sessions for the juniors and women doing some coaching and bike setups etc.
We will run a seniors session from 7:30-8:30PM and will be mainly a cycling fitness session similar to TULAA on Wednesday nights. The final 30 mins will be for track bikes only, so the trackies can do a good hour on the roadies for their fitness and on the fixie for the last half hour. We will see how this pans out as to what interest there is for track bikes.
So 6PM-8:30PM is road bikes only. Damons session will require you to have CA Licence or minimum Ride It Licence. Seniors session will require CA Licence. Gold coin donation please to offset lighting costs.

URGENT

Training tonight is off.

The Council has not set the timer for the lights so the track is dark, trust me, that isn't good.

Great workout on the track last night guys.

Thanks Whitey, Murphs, Gadget, Simon, Tildog, Warwick & Roy.

This provides an excellent opportunity to train above your thresholds while attempting to hang on to the A graders' wheels during the "cool down".

PS Simon, I'm still recovering from that last effort of yours.  Tongue

Hope to see a bigger turnout on Monday nights at 19:30 in future & would encourage all levels of licenced riders to come along and give it a whirl. The best $2 you'll ever spend.

See you all Wednesday at 19:15

Totally agree Col, for those of us with 'real'  Wink jobs these sessions are a great way to get a few mid week k's in.

BTW Col thanks for rolling through slowly after that effort- you would have dropped me otherwise!

I'm the guy who should be thanking you fellows for putting up with my typically weak efforts. Having said that, I will be back tonight to see if I can work on continous improvement! Thanks Whitey for your efforts, promise to make looking over my right shoulder second nature!

Mick, the results are already beginning to show for you mate. I remember seeing you training on the track last year & there is a big improvement in your performance.

Big turn out tonite in the cold at Adcock. 24 juniors and 23 seniors did over an hour each with solid workouts. A couple of new members turned up including about 7 A graders. Stumpy, Man of Steel and Gadjet were there finishing off their preperation for the State Titles at the weekend, good luck to all including the other 7 riders for the weekend.

I would have been there Whitey..... if only I had tried to fix my derailleur cable before 5pm last night.
A word of advice for anyone who's cable snaps inside the STI shifter..... take it to a bike shop before you get too frustrated.
