Monday morning there will be a club ride leaving WGS 6am - yes it's early but this is a longer ride and most of us have families to get back to. Leaving Terrigal Pub 5.30am, Mobbs Rd Terrigal 5.40am.

This is a hilly ride, I think 130km but someone may have the exact distance.

The ride is past PITS, down into Berowra Waters and over on the ferry, over to Galston Gorge and back to the Coast.

We will regroup at the top of every climb and arrive back as a group.

This ride can be cut shorter if you decide to skip Berowra and the ferry, head straight to Galston and meet the group climbing out. Shorter but not as much fun.

Post here if you can make it and let anyone else know that may not see the forum.

I want everyone to send their apologies to Andrew that you can't make this ride as it's my birthday and I would like breakfast in bed!  Smiley

Thats pretty weak Stumpy. A more caring devoted and loving wife you could not find, being abandoned on her 1 special day of the year. Maybe some of the caring husbands in the Club could offer some advice on how you could manage to do the ride and still be a wonderful husband. Signed  Concerned Clubmate. Grin

It is with deep regret that I graciously decline your very tempting invitation Andy as I live by the mantra "Happy wife, Happy life!".  Smiley

PS In Melbourne for the wekend so couldn't have made it anyway. Enjoy the ride & possibly the resulting dog box.  Wink

As a caring husband..... I suggest Whitey cooks Mrs GM's breakfast and Andy enjoys a guilt free ride.  Grin

Well Stu - that's the best piece of advice I've seen on this forum for a long time.

Whitey, where should I hide the keys and don't forget that Mrs GM enjoys her eggs slightly runny and sunny side up. I'll give you a call from the coffee shop and let you know how the bunch ride is going.

Andy, I will regretfully be unable to join you on the ride as I will be driving my wife home from Sydney Airport after her 2 week holiday in the USA while I worked  Wink

Well apart from the fact that it isn't Mothers Day, her birthday or your wedding anniversary you should explain that there are options like;

Dawn Service followed by an Anzac Day breakast aka 6 x rum and cokes followed by an afternoon of 2 up and schooners. I think I know which option my wife would prefer - Dawn Service followed by the peace and quiet of not having me around for a few hours provided there were no rums or schooners involved - but I will have to check with SWMBO before I decide am told. Stumpy, while the boys are looking after Mrs GM on her birthday I'll join you on the galston loop- I've almost forgotten how much fun it is going up Mooney on the way home after 6 gorges...... Wink

(btw, it's 133km and about 2.5km total ascent)

Good to see Stu.

5.45 would be safer - hate to see you chasing from the start!
