Time = Sign-on by 8am - Race @ 8.15am.

Place = Lucca Rd, North Wyong

Distance = 14 laps (25km)

All done by 9am home for the family.

Here is a rough idea of what the "2009/10 Mothers Day Teams Race" will look like.

Races will be run in combined grades (A/B & C/D)

There will be 4 teams selected on race day and the team size will depend on the number of riders.
Each team will have approximately the same number of riders competing in each grade
Each team will be allocated numbers all being the same colour.  White, Pink, Orange, & Yellow.  Therefore you will be able to identify other riders in your race that are from your team
Points will be allocated for the first 5 Places - 1st 10 points, 2nd 7, 3rd 5, 4th 3, 5th 1. Plus there will be PRIME points 1st 3, 2nd 2, and 3rd 1.
The team with the highest number of points will be declared the winner of the ‘Mothers Day Teams Race’
So for example, if we have the following number of riders on the day;
A/B 15 riders, C/D 14 & E 4

It may look something like this;
A/B - 4 White, 4 Pink, 4 Orange, & 3 Yellow

C/D - 3 White, 3 Pink, 4 Orange, & 4 Yellow

E - 1 White, 1 Pink, 1 Orange, & 1 Yellow

These races are not for sheep stations and are intended for said reasons of fitness, fun and home to the family to spend the rest of Sunday.

* Racing will start at 8.15am Sharp.
* Sign-on closing at 8am to finalise teams.
* Bunches will be leaving Terrigal Pub@7am and WGS@7am
* Coffee will be at Tuggerah Maccas after the race.

Cost is the usual $10?

An excellent day weather wise greeted Lucca Rd this morning, its days like these that make those wet, cold days look even worse. If you didn’t get out today you missed out.

Solid numbers saw 2 bunches rolling around the 1.8km circuit today, A/B & C/D.

C/D rolled out given 12 to go and A/B were given 14 to go. (that means C/D had 2 lap head start)

A/B would have to avg 43km/h to catch the required 2 times, and in the final 800mts the A/B bunch had C/D in their sights, the pace picked up and A/B got up for the win.

C/D bunch rode well but started to fall apart when Whitey pulled some massive turns 40km/h + up the back hill.

Keep your eye out for these Sunday Team Events and come along and get the HR up in a slightly more relaxed atmosphere.
