Hi Mick,

I guess this decimates our Sunday morning (30th) usual suspects. Is Sunday morning therefore officially off?

Are you talking about the 7:30am mystery ride that Andy H posted about here:

Nothing official yet most left before results were finalised and posted
6hrs of drizzel then rain was enough for most there was enough water to swim by the time we left
All the cccc kids were sensational for even continuing  to ride on sunday
Elizabeth was 2nd in all her races and 2nd GC for U9 girls bringing home some cash
Goulburn is a club that really looks after the girls especially the little ones who still race the boys they all way reward them separeately and financially and should be applauded and supported for this
Brianna had 1 2nd and 3 3rds to finish 3rd GC and her biggest pay day so far
Tayla and Jessica were great in there 1st road open of the year and improved in every race
All riders received great support from all the coast support crew that went including a few quiet words from Damon on the start line.
Boys ?

Agree with everything Dave said above - the results per Grant's link speak for themselves somewhat.

Weather on Saturday was quite cool and threatening rain eventuated before stage 2 which was a wet race for most divisions.

Sunday morning was worse; colder and wetter with misty drizzling rain all morning and into the afternoon stages.

Report of the boys racing;
U/11s James was absolutely stoked to have caught and passed 3 riders in the 2nd TT (stage 3) - 6th on GC

U/13s Damon at his 1st road open did very well in opening TT (4th but just 9 sec off 2nd place) and would have learned plenty from the road race stages where he placed further down in an experienced field of riders but with the lead group. 6th on GC.

Kodie U/15s - attacked relentlessly in the final stage without success 8th on GC

Peiden U/15s - probably underperformed in opening TT but redeemed himself somewhat on the tougher stage 3 TT. Extremely happy with his 4th place in the final road stage (possibly, no definitely motivated by time bonuses on offer to help him overcome a 1 second deficit to national track medalist Max Housden after the morning TT) 7th on GC.

Mitch U/15s - after smashing B Grade 2 weeks earlier (winning margin 1.41 seconds) found himself in A Grade. Conditions didn't suit the featherweight Mitch especially on Stage 4 where he lost 6 minutes on GC to place 12th overall - but it didn't dampen his spirit or quick wit at all - will be looking for clearer skies at his next outing.

Matt u/17s - put down respectable tt times but chose a warmer option over the stage 4 road race so DNF'd on the GC.

Nick U/17s - always in the top 6 or so on GC which is where he finished.

Alex U/17s - was going to skip the stage 3 TT but realised he would DNF and not be able to ride Stage 4 - DNF'd on that stage as did 6 others - not sure what happened as we had headed home at that stage - hope you're OK Alex.

Special thanks to Damon Scarfe for transporting the club shelters down and (hopefully) bringing them back - whilst the conditions were miserable on Sunday, without the shelter it would have been much worse.
