Entries close Sunday 30 May 2010

Highly recommended open for juniors.

I know there was confusion about the U/9s and U/11s last year and they ended up not running those age groups - unfortunately it looks like being the same this year (but without the confusion).

From the Central Coast you can travel up on Saturday morning for the 10 am start - and just about be home by dark on Sunday - so only 1 nights accommodation to pay for and you still get a day at home on Monday.

There seems to be a regular hospital report from me
Brianna had a fall in the last road race at tamworth she was taken to hospital with shoulder, elbow, and leg injurys.
All clear as far as breakages are concerned to her she may have had a partially dislocated AC joint more follow up required her elbow and knee seem to be only badly bruised with skin missing from a few parts including her face. Her pain was increased even more by having her CCCC jersey cut off in the ambulance and knowing that she can not run at the CIS cross country on thursday.
Thanks to all the CCCC crew for there help and concern especially brendan and jodie.
This has really been the hardest 1 so far and really been a big hit emotionally and will be really hard to come back from for me

That's terrible news David and I can certainly understand how hard that would be on all of you. All the best for Brianna for a quick recovery.

Glad to hear the injuries are not too serious, David, I am sure you will recover OK if not as quickly as Brianna does. Best wishes to you all on a speedy recovery from the Telfers.

Quick Tour Update - clear sunny days - max around 16 or 17 with mainly very still conditions

U/13 Girls - sorry didn't see a lot of this group so correct me where needed - Brianna was 3rd in all 3 stages before the 4th stage crash that also took out part time CCCC member Mel Dawson of K'gang (who also got a trip to Tamworth in the white van with flashing lights) and one other.
Syan finished all stages with or ahead of several others whille Jess was in or around mid-field.
U/15 Women - Tayla H - sorry didn't see Tayla's race finishes at all.
U/15 Men - Kodie and Peiden finished 1st stage in same group after field splintered on the KOM climb called "The Mineshaft" - the name says it all really. Stage 2 saw Peiden loose contact over the KOM climb but the bunch slowed down (to share hugs and love I think) so it was a bunch gallop to the finish with no placings for CCCC.
Stage 3 was 4.6 km Sunday morning - Peiden about 10th & Kodie 12th?. Stage 4 was longest stage @ 33km- A few breaks in this race added to the spectacle and pressure. Peiden cracked about 8 kms from home to loose 3 or 4 minutes by the finish. Kodie finished stage with ST as the leaders. GC - wait until official results posted.

U/17 W - Tegan - Again didn't see a lot of this group but Tegan withdrew before stage 4 to pack the car while Dad and Brianna had a trip to hospital.

U/17 men - A grade - Nick Y - 1st on stage 1 (after which there were some very happy smiling Y people), 6th stage 2, TT time/place ?? but was around 4th or 5th on GC before final stage where Nick placed 4th. GC result ??

B grade Alex Y - finished stages 1 & 2 with majority of field, TT ? but DNF'd on the 61 K stage 4 - as usual though Al was just happy to be there. And after Goulburn 2 weeks ago the sunshine was enough to make it a good weekend (until Briana's crash any way).

Next event on the junior calendar is Canberra in 3 weeks  - see separate post.
