Remember that racing this week is a Central Division at good old Calga !. Remember this is still graded racing and is a great opportunity to represent our club in the mighty orange. Word on the grapevine is that the Hunter clubs are sending down plenty of troops so it would be good to see plenty of orange  out on the course,

Racing starts at 2pm is for CD grades A-E and dont forget that entry is $12, bring the correct money if you can.
I am assuming that it will be 50 km for all grades

if you have not got a club jersey you can wear a plain jersey, I will take up two jerseys if people want to use them on the day ( a med and large)

Given that CCCC members have been unable to purchase club clothing for the past 6 months or so I think perhaps a little leniency can be shown. If you are thinking of racing and don't have CCCC jersey I would still plan on being at the start line for 2pm.

Since when did common sense get involved in any of this Wink
"I think" & "I would" don't exactly inspire confidence - isn't there an official out there who can actually make a decision about breaking the rules?  I'm sure it is not the fault of the CD committee that no-one has been able to buy club clothing for so long.  Anyway, "whatever" as they say - was just what I thought was a relevent question.
Hope the weather is great for you all.

Recent wisdom has suggested a plain white jersey or shirt in lieu of club jersey. Works at opens, can't see why it doesn't apply for CD races.
I have a small CCCC jersey that I can lend if required as I will be lollipop man for the day.

I'm not sure if that's wisdom or hopefulness (that officials will take pity) you're referring to there?
As far as I know, current NSWCF tech regs (http://www.nsw.cycling.org.au/site/cycling/nsw/downloads/Files/technical/regulations/NSWCF_Tech_Regs.pdf) do not allow for plain jerseys.
50 - COMPETITORS - UNIFORMS AND APPAREL
a) The competitors, their uniforms and other clothing shall be neat and clean at least at the beginning of an Event.
b) Racing jerseys without sleeves shall be forbidden.
c) Race clothing conforming to those colours and design, registered, as State, Club, Group or Individual Sponsorship Colours shall only be permitted.
d) No item of clothing shall hide the competitor?s number.
e) Only transparent rain capes shall be authorised.

This is not to say that they haven't been allowed in the past & you may find a happy commissaire on the day, but be warned that you may equally find one who won't let you start Wink

I can bring up a couple of spare jerseys - as long as people don't mind a few holes and scrapes on one of them. Could actually be an advantage with other riders giving you a little more room.  Wink

I have a two small jerseys that someone can borrow if needed.  I wont be riding tomorrow.  PM me if you would like to have them and I can leave them out for someone to pick up.

David, the point being made clearly…and now not so clearly by your encouraging coasties to turn up in any colour is…don’t be disappointed if you are not allowed to race based on the current tech regs.

Perhaps the better options in the first place would have been to;
1.   Seek and provide advice to the club members that there is a dispensation to ride in plain jerseys.
2.   Advise on exactly the tech regs and that club riders should beg/borrow/steal a club jersey if they intend to race.

Saying its happened in the past is no guarantee. I’ve watched riders line up being told they can’t wear aero helmets in sprint qualifying while theres a rider on the track wearing one!

Common sense does not always prevail, and should a competitor argue the point…the tech-regs are clear.

It's been a slow week, but I couldnt watch the same message get basically ignored 3 times and figured Grant wouldnt tell you a 4th.

Whitey, as club handicapper are you thanking Dave for encouraging all coasties to turn up to race in a CD in any colours despite the tech-regs?

I would have though the appropriate message would have been "Find a CCC club shirt and come to race!"

I did wonder how long it would take for the smart response to what was sensible advice...  I wasn't dissapointed  Roll Eyes
