Is it just me, or is this new membership link not working? I've tried multiple computers, and none of them progress past the first section where you are supposed to pick the club you wish to join, however no clubs are listed...

Thanks,

check the date of that post, it's an old link.  2012 membership isn't available on the Cycling Australia site yet.

Sorry to harp on about the membership here, but I called Cycling Australia re the online membership and was directed to the website http://www.cycling.org.au . From there I can go through the membership tab, then the 2012 membership categories, and theres a "join now" link. Then I can select the state as NSW, the club as "Central Coast CC".

The next step is to select a membership category.

I was born in 1976, so could be either "Race Masters 2" for $220 or "Race Elite" for $285.40. There is the following line in the Race Masters 2 Category:
"Masters who wish to enter Open events must purchase an elite category licence."

Is there a simple explanation of the difference between the two license types?

Assuming I go through the above procedure, do I just show up at the next race day with the receipt from the above payment?

Thanks for your help...

Open to correction, but I thinks a Masters 2 license would suffice unless you wanted to compete at State & National level.

Give Wal Shelley our secretary a call.

Thanks for your help,

I spoke to Wal, who kindly lent me some of his time  Smiley

The online registration was succesful, and the license was a Masters 2 one. The Elite license only applies for National Championships etc, and I think I'm quite a ways off from that level....

Thanks again (and to Wal too),

Don't forget to renew for CA 2012.
No licence or receipt = no race from 1st January.
Please do it on line as the Club has limited facilities to process applications on race days.

New and Renewal Membership has been added to the site.

Maybe this topic can be sticky so new members can also see it?
