GRANT FRASER 2GO MASTERS SPORTSPERSON OF THE YEAR FOR 2007.

At a 2GO FM function earlier today Grant was awarded the 2GO Masters sportsperson of the year award for 2007. The ceremony went live to air and the category award winners were chosen from the weekly winners of 2007.

For those who don’t know Grant, he rides Men Masters 2 and excels on both road and track, but specialises on the track. Grant prides himself on being approachable on and off the bike so if you ever want straight advice or an opinion on cycling Grant’s the man. Be prepared though as you may not like what you hear, but then again his results speak for themselves.

A recap on the later part of the achievements and times which contributed to this award are as follows.

MENS MASTERS 2 (35-39) CATEGORY

2007 WORLD CHAMPION 30K POINTSCORE.

2007 World Championship 100Om TT 1.08.158 4th.

2007 NSW Cyclist of the year Mens Masters 2.

2007 NSW 200m TT 11.287 1st.

2006 National Champion Criterium.

2006 National Champion 30k Pointscore.

2006 National Championship 1000m TT 1.07.439 2nd.

2006 NSW 3000m Individual Pursuit 3.40.18.

Well done Grant another feather in your cap and a fistful of cash (cheque actually) for Leisl’s purse.

Fantasic news!

2007 was a great year for Grant on and off the bike, and to attain a regional award like that is testament to the hard work he puts in to achieve any goal he sets himself.
