Nick has been accepted and is very excited about going. Are there other kids from CCCC going?
It would be good for camaraderie amongst the juniors in the club to have a few orange jerseys there, and a great opportunity to mix with people of all abilities from other clubs.
The program looks very strict and well run, plenty of activity, bed early and NO ELECTRONIC GADGETS! Can they survive without their i pods laptops etc? ''It'll do em good'', the old man said.

I particularly like the bike maintenance part, makes the kids responsible for at least being basically competent in checking and adjusting their own gear.

7 juniors have been accepted from the CCCC to attend this camp
Nick W, Nick Y, Peiden, Kodie, Damon, Tayla, and Brianna
It was passed at last nights club meeting that the club will susidise each participant $100.00
Which I am sure will be greatly appreciated by all the parents
Especially the one who has 2 riders going !
The camp is also a selection trial for a talent indentification squad so there will be a very competive spirit during the week also

Looks like something aligning to the club's mission statement part "We will pay particular attention to the encouragement of young riders"  Wink
Well done - Hope all of the juniors get a lot from this camp over the week.

As most "Road Camp" parents will be aware by now the kids were required to surrender there mobile phones for the duration of the camp - which is a good thing in them not having technology to occupy them and during school holidays too.

It does however leave some of us wondering what is actually going on up at the camp or if they will even remember anything about the week to give us a report on. My guess is they'll get plenty out of the camp and that they'll all be totally smashed by the time they get home on Friday night and we won't get anything sensible out of them for a few days after that if ever Wink.

After Sunday's Belgian like B2B conditions the rain seems to have left Bathurst whilst the max temp there so far this week is a whopping 14.2 C yesterday - although its currently a balmy 14.7 in Bathurst at the moment.
