12 Hour Teams Challenge
Heffron Park Sunday 4th September 2011

Event concept:
A teams event consisting of 5 riders per team.
Event is open to NRS, State, Club and composite teams


Prize money:
Total Prize money - $10,000 Cash plus Teams Trophy


Session 1 - 6.45am

All teams must field 4 of their 5 riders in this first session. 
At 30 minutes (or close thereto) the whistle will sound for the first of a series of 3 sprint priems which will have a neutral lap between each sprint.
At 60 minutes (or close thereto) the whistle will sound for a further 2 sprints.


Session 2 - 7.55am

1 Lap standing Time Trial - Rider not participating in Session 1

Session 3 - 8.45am

Miss & Out Race (Heats & Final) 1 team rider to start in each heat.
Final to be held later in day.

Session 4 - 10.15am

90 minute Scratch Race (4 riders per team)
At 30 minutes (or close thereto) the whistle will sound for the first of a series of 3 sprint priems
At 60 minutes (or close thereto) the whistle will sound for the first of a series of 3 sprint priems
At 90 minutes (or close thereto) the whistle will sound for a further 2 sprints, the last which will signify the end of session 4.

Session 5 - 11.50am

10 lap group Handicap (each team must field 2 riders) Riders will be graded on their performances during previous 4 sessions

Session 6 - 1.15pm

1 Hour Scratch Race (3 riders per team) All teams to field 3 of their 5 riders in this which will last for 1 hour approx.

Session 7 - 2.30pm

1 Lap standing Two person Team Time Trial Commencing at 2.15am Start at 60 sec intervals Points 40, 35, 30, 27, 26, 25, 24 etc to last team (where 30 teams start) the last team will receive 1 point

Session 8 - 3.20pm

Miss n Out Scratch Race Final. Teams who qualified riders in Session 3 may start that number of riders in the final
Distance 15 Laps, First lap neutral then last rider across the line each lap to be eliminated until 3 laps to go.
All riders remaining at 3 laps to go will sprint for points on offer.

Session 9 - 4.05pm

30 minute Scratch Race (3 riders per team)
Any rider taking a lap will receive a bonus 100 points.
At 15 minutes the whistle will sound for a sprint priem.
At 30 minutes the whistle will sound for the final sprint priem for this session.
Last sprint will carry bonus sprint points
The rider judged as being the most aggressive rider during session will receive 25 bonus points for their team

Session 10 - 4.40pm

Teams pursuit over two laps.
Teams to consist of 4 riders.
No time trial bikes or aero bars to be used for this event.

Session 11 - 6.05pm

Final event will be a Scratch Race (4 riders per team)
Any rider taking a lap will receive a bonus 100 points.

Indeed looks like a great format. Might want to get moving as in the presentation it states > Up to 30 teams comprising 5 riders per team
