Congratulations to our TT riders that competed in the State Championships today.  Our riders got 2 gold and 1 bronze, that’s what I know of anyway.

Medal Winners

Under 19 men Bronze Nick Yallouris
First off this morning was Nick Y, who thought it was a good idea to take a different route.  Luckily he was able to get a restart and did a great time to secure a Bronze.

Womens Master 3 Gold Yoni Cross
Yoni won her title with a good time gap.  Around 1:30 ahead of the silver medallist.  She also was the fastest of all the masters’ women on the day, again the next best Master rider was 1:30 back.  Her time would have placed her 4th in the Elite.

Mens Master 5 Gold Mark Stapleton.
After a disaster preparation at the start line….. punctured front wheel…. Rang Yoni who was at the finish line to borrow her front wheel…. Then had to replace Yoni’s wheel during warm up, then his rear disc wheel developed issues.     Good thing that he was at the start line with time to spare.  Mark won his group by about 30 seconds (without the benefit of a disc).

How good is that
2 x state champions for CCCC in the TT

Nicks Bronze is equally impressive from someone who has been noted as Schleck when it comes to TT's

What a sterling performance from all three Riders.  Wink

To Win Gold or Bronze on the same day as Cadel Wins the Tour de France will be a day they'll never forget.

Congratulations  Smiley
