The Hunter Valley Veterans Cycling Club (Kooragang - FLAT COURSE) have sent us an invitation to attend an Open Women's Handicap on the 21st August.

The Womens race (not just Masters Women) starts at 0800 and will be followed by a scratch race for veteran men/and women at 0900.

21.8.2011—The Orthodontic / Womens only Handicap over 25kms.
Sponsored by  Rob Chapman again, this is the third year in a row the club has held this type of event. It is open to any female cyclist, regardless of age or ability. even women who want to try bike racing for the first time, can buy a “one day” licence.  There are over a thousand dollars in money and prizes.
We are lucky to have such a generous sponsor. See Rob for all your dental needs.

Would be great to see some CCCC jerseys there.  Anyone attending Mick Hull's sessions on a regular basis should find this race to be easy (you know who you are).

For any of you looking to really smash your legs do the CCCC race at Calga on Saturday then you can head up to Kooragang for the 0800 Womens race, the 0900 Scratch race (for free - as they really like the women to stay on).....   ANY CCCC woman starting all 3 races over the weekend can have their next Calga race paid by me.

We will have 2 seats in our car available.  If there are any girls wanting a lift let me know.

Question from Kylie.

"If it isn't raining or general crappy weather, where are people meeting to leave the coast to drive up as we don't know the meeting site in Newcastle, and at what time ? We will be making final decision on Sunday morning, early, if we are racing. I am not doing it in weather like the stuff outside now."    Cheesy

Kylie is not manning up at all. Having a sleep in and avoiding the toxic spils at the site. Good luck Yoni xxx
