Does anyone know the meaning of the word "brutal" Huh

I've looked in every dictionary but all they show is a picture of big Col Streit absolutely destroying his fellow breakaway companion over the kooragang finish line!

Nice win mate...

Nicer coffee  Grin

Worked out well for me in the end & good to see a breakwaway go with 2km to go & stay away, just.

On the final lap turnaround I found myself going around the cone in 2nd last place. I knew my placing at this point as the last placed rider Patto kindly pointed out our positioning in the field. Thought I had better get up to the front as things were about to start to heat up. Four riders jumped away & opened about a 30 metre gap, I followed the two wheels in front who bridged half the gap which was growing & then ran out of puff. I then jumped across to the leading 4, rolled straight to the front & upped the ante. 1 rider rolled through & the other 3 sat up thinking that with 2 km to go it would come down to a bunch sprint. The other guy wasn't prepared to slow down & neither was I. We swapped short pulls & out of the final turn had 50 metres on the field. We continued working & I managed to get him in front with 50 metres to the line & rolled past for the win. The bunch was coming so fast that my breakaway partner only managed 4th.

Chuffed with the manner of win being more noted as a bit of a sprinter. Nice field of over 30 riders at an average of 39kph. I'll take that & their $105 prize money any day.

Yip Ken, was giving it all away not too long ago. Even sold my pride & joy 2011 Trek Madone.

Just needed a good cruisy catchup ride with a mate to get back on track. Going to schedule more of these cruisy rides with mates to remind me how much I enjoy riding a bike.
