Dry, windy conditions this week has meant the course has not been submerged at all for 7 days. This has allowed the mossy, slippery corners to dry out completely. Even if it rains throughout the day, the course will pull up well.

Here are the details again:

Who: All Grades A-E
What: Grade Based Club Criterium Champs
When: Friday, February 10, 2012. Sign-on from 5.30pm, racing from 6pm (usual times).
Where: Lucca Rd, North Wyong.
Why: Crown the fastest Criterium racer in the CCCC ranks in the 2011/12 season. (Winner of A grade will be awarded as Criterium Champion of the club)

Riders are to ride their usual grade that they race each week.
However, there is an offer on the table for usual B Graders to step up into A grade (Championship Grade) for the night of the Club Championships only. This gives them a crack at being the '2012 Club Champion'. They will not be penalised if they win or get dropped and can move back to B grade the next week with no questions asked.

Road is dry as a bone and has heat on the surface. Therefore, even if this pussy little storm rolls through pre-race I am confident of a dry race once it has passed.
A decision will be made from the course.

Gotta be in it to win it. See you there.

Those keen radar observers will be refreshing their browser faster than Crafty speaking on the mic. They will also notice that the worst is hitting now and there is a chance there is nothing behind the storm so...................

...................A DECISION WILL BE MADE ON THE LINE AS LATE AS 5.45pm.......

Quick weather update from northen end of the coast (2km from start line)

Rain stopped about 25 minutes ago and and the sky looks clear based on the radar and what I can see from my backyard.

Anyone riding to the race be cautious of debris on the road from the strong winds.

I drove the course just before 5pm and the 'ponds' just past the start finish line don't impede on the race line, so if the rain holds off for the next hour we might actually be able to race!

Due to traffic from a car accident on drive in and indecisive members, start times have been delayed to: D&E 6.20pm, Then A, B & C after that.
