I know it has been sad to hear about all of the bad accidents that people have had just recently, but i still hope you can all see the funny side to this....

This morning, Stu, Troy and i met at Terrigal car park for an early coffee ride and departed at 5.30 am bound for the Toukley roundabout.

As most of us know now, there is work taking place on Wairaki rd in Wamberal which consists of a couple of impassable sections of the road which can be a little annoying when it comes to choosing the right time to take the path.

As we turned into Wairaki rd i let the others know... " you guys might want to get on this path early!"

Stu took the advice with open arms and got straight onto it.

Troy.... did not.... he thought it would be better, and possibly more stylish, to race a little bit up the road and then bunny hop back onto the path, to get in front of the joggers that would have slowed his pace.

It must have seemed like a good idea at the time but somewhere between conception and execution, something went awry and Patto hit the gutter and launched himself, and the bike he was wearing, like a missile, over the footpath and onto the grass on the other side.

The 20 strong group of women joggers showed their immediate concern for "Super Troy"  but all he to say was... " oh how embarrassing"

After i could see he was alright and smiling, i woke up half of Wamberal with an outburst of laughter and thanked the ladies for being there to see what was possibly the funniest moment of my year  Grin

we continued on our ride which and the laughter didn't stop till Long Jetty.

Luckily, no people or bikes were hurt in this story but still entertaining nonetheless.

Thanks Patto, i love ya mate  Wink

I so wish I was there!  Grin

Reminds me of a Snowy trip when Chicken saw CS5 bunny hop the gutter and thought he'd have a sly little try himself out of sight from everyone else - or so he thought. The results from memory were very similar to Troy's episode (without the runners). Gold!
