Was an awesome day and i could definitely get used to riding on that surface everywhere!

PS. Here's a couple of simple rules that'll help anyone Adapt to North Shore cycling etiquette....

1. If you see another cyclist on the side of the road with a flat tyre signalling for help and a pump... keep your head down and up the pace!

2. If you need to get your bike out from under someone else's expensive bike at the cafe, just push their bike on to the ground and be on your way.

In reply to No. 1 - I knew the guy was in safe hands with you three and I was desperate for some food!

In reply to No. 2 - That bloke was a %&*$#*&^ tosser!

Andy

Glad you found it tough too. The average speed was on a par with past races in B grade..

Hmmm, thanks Chris - I guess that means I really need to work on my fitness hey...  Cry

Yeh Chris that was my lead out for you.. Was trying to get you to those other guys infront as inconspicuously as possible. And I reckon you kiled it!

And I wasn't having a go at you for the pump guy Andy you tool! I was bagging out the massive group of sydney riders infront of us that just dismissed his cries for help! ......

Are we still Friends?

That's fine Greggy - with my car and the patisserie in sight I wasn't stopping for anyone  Grin Although if I had of waited, there's a chance my bike wouldn't have been dropped by some goose - karma?

Funny- I flatted a front tyre on the ride into the race at west head last year only to find I had forgotten all my spares
Turned around and started walking the 2km back to my car hoping someone would offer a hand. When the third rider passed me without so much as a "r u right there" I got back on and rode back on the flat in disgust.

Every man for himself on Sydney roads  Wink

Greggy- I topped the last hill with a hr of 185 - the lights go off and the shop shuts at 188

All good fun.
