They should Target derro's on crappy old mountain bikes who ride around on footpaths with no helmets and nearly knocking over poor people trying to walk. !!!! They should breath test and drug test these people as well !!!
Do you mean those people who are trying to walk on the
right hand side of the shared path on my commute into Gosford ? Or the people who are walking 400 metres behind their toddlers on bike paths as if that is a safe place for toddlers to be ? Perhaps you mean those poor people walking two abreast who look surprised when I want them to get out of my way ??
I follow the rules whenever that is practical, but I won't ride uphill in an 80 zone on my "crappy old mountain bike", even where the alternative is a pedestrian footpath. I don't want to hold up the traffic, nor do I want to get killed.
When I'm riding my road bike I ride on the road, when I'm on my crappy old mountain bike I ride on the road as long as it is safe to do so.
Cyclists should be encouraging cycling, not encouraging "targeting" of cyclists. Of course there are some idiots on bikes, but I like to think that they are the minority.
