This from CNSW twitter account:

"Travis Smedley of BSCC rode an unofficial JM17 Time Trial Australian record tonight at DGV, 33.530s. Half a second better than the current!"

This record Travis has broken was held by Ben Kersten, Commonwealth Games gold medalist.

Here is the footage of when Kersten set the record:

** For those unfamiliar to Travis, he was a former CCCC member but had to change clubs for reasons out of his control.

Hey TC… the name may not be familiar to some, but I expect they certainly know the young flash by sight.

Trav at 16 is already the fastest cyclist, young or old, ever to come out of the local area.

It's fantastic to observe his improvement in speed, he’s such an exciting sprint prospect.

Who knows, he may even give the Australian JM17 200m record a nudge in the days & weeks to come, let’s hope so.

Well done Trav   Smiley

Damon has ended up with a triple of Silver Medals (TT, Sprint, Pursuit)
The Team sprint teams all did well with the boys placing 4th and the girls securing a Bronze (out of the three teams)
