I have been away the last week in Victoria.

First up the 4 Stage Bay Crits where I was riding for team mate, Dane Crawford. We had a successful week with a stage win and were sitting pretty for the GC win but Dane crashed on the final stage. He was placed so high on GC that he still managed to hold onto third.

I was supplied with a Bike-Cam and recorded Stage 2 & 4.

Stage 2 footage is a little boring as I was required to ride a high pace on the front with my other team mate to protect the yellow jersey.

But Stage 4 footage is crazy, it even scares me when I watch it back. I drew a poor position on the start grid, therefore, had to use all my skill and take some risks to get to the front to help support Dane.

Some time references to take note of (written by Sam):
3min50sec - a gap closed on Mick on the left and his split second move to hit the gap on the right allowed him to keep his speed and still move up.
5min08sec - crazy moves to make up 14 riders in one swoop including taking gaps that were not there and shutting up the outside of the course.
6min35sec - finally got to the front and nudged team mate Dane Crawford to allow him to attack and put the pressure on.

Dane taking out Stage 1.

I love this photo, I just led him out and may well be happier than him.  Grin

Crikey, I feel like I was watching a video game... I liked the slalom effort round the witches hats, whilst still dodging the chunky looking trees on the outside...
Well done...
