Brad Boyd (aka the Borg to some) has just rode a PB in the bronze medal ride off at the NSW Masters individual pursuit champs. Awesome to watch as he came from 1.5 secs behind to win with a lead of 2.5 secs! He bettered his time of 4.03 in the qualifier to ride a 3.59 in the bronze ride off.

Well done Borgy. Keeping the CCCC's State/National medal tally rolling.

Well done to the other CCCC riders who did the club proud.

Whitey made the ride off for bronze in the Masters 7 but fell short and took out 4th.

Chappy rode for the sprint bronze last night but went down in 2 rounds - but only just apparently. Still 4th is pretty good.

Has the TT and points race today.

Another 4th in the TT. 3rd place went to an ACT rider, so I would think that means Chappy may collect Bronze - not according to CNSW though ? http://www.nsw.cycling.org.au/default.asp?Page=45541

Also see former CCCC rider GT in the mix.

I am reluctant to post under "Boyds" headline act.... but, here goes my recap, 4 starts, 4 finishes and no mishaps  Cool ....

Thx Whitey and Darryl...... not many entries in the Masters 6 55-59 but with World Masters Champions Dave Willmott (Bicisport) and Steve Darracott (Hunter Districts) the cream of the crop were certainly there, we were always fighting for the minor places.

Having said that I was pretty happy with my few days racing...... MMAS 6 55-59 4th Sprint 12.525, 4th 500TT 38.367, 3rd Sratch Race.

The combined Masters 5/6 50-59 Pointscore was a good race for me, finished 4th on same laps as the leaders and only a single point or two behind 3rd.... 1st Mark Harris (MMAS 5 ACT), 2nd Steve Darracott (MMAS 6), 3rd Peter Harvey MMAS 5. The first five places were the only riders not to lose a lap over the 60 lap race.

Of note was former member Graham Tierney, now Bicisport who rode very well in the TT, Scratch and Point Score..... and must say before Glass Cleats gets on my case  Wink Gai rode her socks off in the last few days with some great performances.

Also Geoff, Richard and Mick Smith picked up a 3rd in the Masters under 135 year Team Sprint, following on from their success of last year. Well done  Smiley

Full credit to Chappy,
He rode the whole four days with smart tactics. Today he combined some gained form with smart racing to secure a medal. From 10 laps to go it became very clear to me that he would be getting a medal even though there were still 7 riders in contention.
