It was a great weekend away and cycling was pretty good as well  Wink
The hilly course on saturday did the damage early to some of us  :'( (me mostly)
Kane was the unluckiest rider with a puncture after only 1km of racing  Angry
The bonus to finishing early meant we got to see some great racing from the Coast boys with Stapo and HeyPhil taking the medals and Chicken spending a lot of time on his own but finishing in great form.
Sunday was another smashfest with the pace on early in all the races, the great crit circuit was quickly forgotten while trying to take the sharp left from the back of the pack only to look up and see the front of the bunch already over the top and heading down the back straight  Undecided
Chicken was the least lucky rider of the coasties when riding strong in the lead group a few riders went down right in front of him with only a couple of laps to go which put him off the back of the bunch Sad
Brad showed his experience by 'coaching' Stumpy to stay and help Gadget in the 1's after he was dropped from the front group of 2's. (Stumpy was instantly happy to help  Wink)
Kane hung onto the chase group in the 1/2's and had a great result for us young-un's  Grin
The Hugg's clan begrudgingly headed home on Sunday arvo knowing that most of the crew were heading back to the caravan park to have a barby and hit the cans- well deserved by all!
For me, cycling was the winner...... Wink
ps, thanks for the lift up on friday Brad

Here are some photos of the crits from Port Mac in the Masters 5 race .
Thats me in the lead bunch of 11 of 21 starters with the blue helmet and wearing the club strip of course.
The photos are all of the last few laps
Eventual winner was Steve Darracott (blue jersey -Silver helmet)
Second Robert Chapman (Blue jersey Red helmet - you can only just see him at the end of one photo) he must have been sitting in?
Third Adam Skalka (the big bloke in the FRF gear)
I finished seventh after dodging a last lap crash with three riders involved

If anybody wants to see or download more photos of the crits at Port go to Port Macquaries club website http://www.portmaccycleclub.com.au/ have a peruse and send an email with the photos you want to Dave Morton and he will send you full size ones. Most of our club members racing that day can find photos of themselves there.  Cool

I have some photos I took myself which I will load onto here later Cheesy
