HEY pHIL
In B grade
1st Richard Pettigrew
2nd Brad Craft
Dunno
It was a smash fest in A with a lot of reputations damaged. Brad, Phil and Mick and I think Jimmy were the ones who caused a lot of damage in the 2nd half of the race. There were a couple of Nth Sydney riders but they got smashed too. I am sure Mick will post a better summary than mine but u get the picture.

Come on whitey.. I didnt know that there were any reputations to be damaged in A grade... I thought they all had reputations of ill-repute anyway....  Grin  Thats why I 'choose' to ride in the lower grades.. It has absolutely nothing to do with my lack of fitness or ability... hehehehe

well,
here is a short version of what i saw from my position.

race started well with a few guys trying some half attempts to get away untill there was a group of 5 or 6 i think down the road. jimmy and brad must have picked up the pace and held it because 2 north sydney guys and one other rider ended up back in the bunch with us leaving jimmy and brad down the road.

somtime later Phil decided that it was time to go and catch them so put the hammer down out of the back corner and down the back straight.

I went with him and on my wheel was the strong, Andy 'sometimes A sometimes B grader depending how his day has been' Hellmich.

We settled into turns and once stumpy had recovered he did some very respectable turns. Phill flatted and had a lap out and then rejoined us. We shelled stumpy and really started to give chase, phil assured me that we were going to catch jimmy and brad on the last lap because he had it worked out.

The bell seemed to go a little early so phil was wrong but we caught and passed jimmy but didnt manage to get brad, we had a great chase and workout anyway.

average speed was 43km/h

As stumpy pointed out over coffee this morning 'yes you did get 5th in A grade stumpy' well done.

5th in A grade for Stumpy, I don't think he can ride B anymore.

5th in A grade is a definite no return to the lower grades surely... What a great rider the stumpy is... Will you still ride with us Stumpy? Are we worthy?   Grin
