Something I forgot to mention

SBS2 has 90 - 120 mins of coverage of every stage of the Tour Of California on every day starting at 7am this last Monday 17th May 2010

Stage two is on right now  Grin

Can Levi make it four in a row ?

Fourteen Aussies are in the mix too with Michael Rogers itching for a win.

I noticed Stuey and the other Aussies...should be good.

Eurosport stuffed up the coverage of Tour of Cal and Giro this morning...it was a mess. If SBS has coverage rights to Tour of Cal...that might be the reason for the stuff up.

Did anyone hear Lance's comments re: Cal and Giro...surely it was taken out of context.

There was no coverage of California to show this morning.

Which is why they showed the Giro stage 8 instead.

The television coverage was cancelled because of bad weather this morning, no aircraft to relay the signal.

In actual fact they did show the finish, Murphs was right about the bad weather stopping helicopter footage and relay of ground camera work.
They also repeated yesterdays finale of STG 1 TOC.

Brett Lancaster ( AUS) brained it though for the win in Stg 2 Grin

Almost missed this

The last of the multiple stage tours before the Tour de France is commencing tonight on ONE HD at 11.30 pm....... The Tour de Suisse

Stage one which was last night our time is being shown tonight , the ITT

The first few stages are all on at different times of the night so check your TV guides.

The Tour of Switzerland is held over nine stages and is used by riders as a final tune up race.
Most teams will be using the same riders as they have selected for the TDF.

Can Cancellara, last years Tour de Swiss winner make it two in a row?

Lots of stages for sprinters and plenty of mountain stages too should make it an interesting tour.  Cheesy

Lots of Aussies entered too so plenty of reasons to watch  Wink

In case you live under a rock THE most watched, most talked about, longest running grand tour historically starts again this Sat night 3rd July in Rotterdam with a 8km prologue ITT.

Of course I'm talking about the Tour de France.

Stage 1 and 3 will be early deciders / eliminators with Stg 1 featuring around 70kms of coastal winds to deal with , remember last years famous stage when Lance got in the front bunch while Alberto plus other GC contenders were caught napping .

Stg  3 features seven sectors of Paris Roubaix style cobblestones which could catch out any of the top riders or their respective teammates , watch for absolute carnage on this stage.

We are spoilt again this year with SBS showing every stage live commencing this Sunday night at 10pm.
