Next Sunday will be a flatter ride and a chance to work on rolling through and pacelines on the way home.

6.00am West Gosford Shops - heading to Terrigal
6.30am Terrigal Pub

From Terigal we will head north along The Entrance Rd, along Wilfred Barrett Dr, a right at the roundabout onto Elizabeth Bay Dr at the then into the national park. Out of the park and a right onto the Pacific Hwy and down to Swansea Maccas for a coffee.

The return leg features a KOM at the top of the hill out of Swansea - regroup and head on. From here we can start the rolling through and at Willfred Barrett start the paceline. If you get dropped, take the auto bus to the Entrance bridge where the pack will take a LEFT turn, a quick right followed by a quick left and wait at the waterfront at The Entrance (where the information centre is). From here we will meander through the back of Towoon Bay, Shelly Beach and Bateau Bay then rejoin The Entrance Rd for the return to Terrigal.

The loop is around 100kms from Terrigal, further from Gosford. An average speed of 32km/h should easily be achievable which will give us a round trip of about 3.5hrs (to and from Terrigal) including a coffee stop and one puncture (not 5 Troy).

As usual, everyone is welcome and for those that aren't interested the usual coffee ride will leave West Gosford Shops at 7.00am.

Let's all try and make an effort with the club strip if you have one.

Lastly - on the Bumble ride, a couple of tubes (after flats) were thrown into the bush or paddocks - this is a bad reflection on the club if it's seen by motorists or a member of the public. If you flat, pocket the dud tube and dispose of it appropriately.

Sorry - one last thing - if someone punctures or you are waiting at the top of a climb, it is imperative that the group moves to the edge of the road or off the road completely! We all know how how many cyclists are killed each year and it would be devastating if something happened to one of our group through the actions of a speeding driver or a driver that isn't paying attention.

SATURDAY is the normal coffee ride with a twist of lemon: the President's Ride
On Saturday 22nd Dec the coffee ride will finish at the club president's place (2 Willoughby Rd Terrigal) at around 8.30am for coffee, raisin toast etc. It’s on the lagoon – so enjoy the view, the fellowship and the coffee for the last time before Christmas (and its FREE).  If you don’t want to ride – drive down for the fun at 8.30am anyway.

SUNDAY Dec 23 is Stumpy's ride to Swansea

Ignore the second paragraph, Stumpy has been at the pub all arvo and his copy and paste skills are suffering!

Oops, thanks Jock - that could have been confusing.

The second paragraph has been removed so don't go looking for the mistake.

Stumpy
Thats why I couldn't find it. You now have the power to change history. How about moving me up the finishing position for KOM today at BH.

Thanks Rosco.

I hope you been able to persuade the boss in your family - we are counting on you for numbers and Hodgee is keen for you to bring your Fireman's outfit to camp. You are a firey aren't you?

Don't forget Rosco my line....

Honey ,if I don't go they will have to call off the camp because they don't have the numbers. They only need one more rider . That will be really disappointing for the other guys.
Then walk away looking dejected, maybe a tear rolling down the face will help too.

This arvo I did a bit of gardening along The Barrett, clearing a couple of overhanging branches at the south end. I'll get rid  of a few sticks & debris tomorrow.
Not sure if I'll be going btw.

Have no fear of the soft-spot-big-hole near The Entrance Bridge, she's all good. Go as fast as you can.
