Absolutely awesome ride today boyssss.  The numbers continue to remain strong which is great.  I would like it though if you could pick up the pace bit at Wilford Barrett, thought you guys were a bit slow.

The big question on everybody's lips, "What happened to the Chicken?"

Phoned Chicken to check if he made it home allright - his wife answered and let me know that he did indeed make it home safely and was having a little nap.

Hi Guys the Chicken is alive and kickin and no I hadn’t  ‘Flown the Coop’  Grin

Sorry for any concern I created, I didn’t read the route map correctly and turned right off the bridge and back home that way missing the regrouping spot.  Embarrassed
After getting dropped near the golf course along with Peter Wickham we struggled back to The Entrance  Tongue and at Shelley Beach roundabout I called Peters dad Steve for him to find out where he was.
Con, Simon, Whitey and Tweedy came through the roundabout and I joined them for the ride home.

I enjoyed the ride immensely although was fatigued by the end due to lack of sleep after getting home from the airport at midnight from picking up one of my daughter’s who had come home for Christmas.

Special thanks to Andy for calling and checking on my whereabouts.  Wink
My wife was most impressed that we look out for each other and helped alleviate any concerns she may have had for my and our safety.   Smiley

Thanks Guys and Merry Christmas.

Skein is temporary, knitting isn't.

Your ride reports are slipping fellas.

Who won all the titles - KOM, QOV, the sprints and descender from hell?

Sounds like there was a paceline from hell on the way back.  I wasn't there so I won't put my ten cents worth in other than to say riders should never be left to their own devices on a group ride.

Merry Christmas to you too.  You have done a great job this year, haven't been in the club long, but the work you have done is really making a difference. Well done.

And well done to the other hard working volunteers in the club, you know who you are.

Wal also gets a special mention from me.
