Rider down- Ray Potter, Northern Sydney

Ray Potter, MMAS 8, ex peleton sports, current member of Northern Sydney has had a terrible accident cycling out at Homebush on Tuesday night. He has a high cervical spinal injury, at the moment is quadraplegic being ventilated and sedated. No prognosis known at this early stage. Many of you would have raced with Ray at Calga and ATTA. Our thoughts are with Ray and his family at this time.

Ray has been a great supporter of CCCC and ATTA On top of this he is an amazing bloke as well. These things hit you hard and I am not sure what to type, but know I must.
Found this on peloton sports website, surprised not to find info on CNSW.
As you all know Ray had an accident at Homebush. I saw him tonight and he is conscious but on a ventilator, as the spinal injury has affected his ability to breathe. He has little movement in his right shoulder where he has some sensation but nothing else. Ray is obviously very distressed about all this as is Anne and their kids Michael and Sally. For the time being he doesn't want visitors but I'm sure he'll want some during the next and following weeks. We can only wait to see how much improvement he gets - some is expected as there is likely to be a lot of swelling that will reduce over the next few days.
