Here is the 2nd draft of the Itinerary of "Le Tour De Snowy"

Day 1 Thursday
7am leave Kariong
1:30pm Arrive at Jindabyne
1st Ride of the Tour – Jindy to Grosses Plain via Berry Way 40-50km
Leg warming ride.  Pleasant ride on rolling hills

Ride Link
http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=2504315965789192804,-36.415135,148.617768%3B5854202648617141982,-36.579231,148.488561%3B13262988219114935656,-36.415075,148.618287&time=&date=&ttype=&saddr=-36.415135,148.617768&daddr=-36.582452,148.489151+to:Kosciusko+Rd+%40-36.415075,+148.618287&mra=dme&mrcr=0,1&mrsp=1&sz=13&sll=-36.588241,148.480053&sspn=0.058442,0.159645&ie=UTF8&om=1&ll=-36.492525,148.571548&spn=0.234056,0.63858&z=11

Day 2 Friday
7am 2nd ride of the tour - Jindy to Charlottes Pass return Short Ride 80km.  Long Ride 116km

We will leave Jindy and travel on rolling hills for about 5km and then commence a 35km accent to Charlottes Pass.  During this ride we will rise from 900m to 1,700m above sea level, that’s an average gradient of 2.3%.  So there are plenty of flat and downhill areas in between climbs, but most of the climb happens in the first 10-15km.  After getting to Charlottes pass the ride will return back down the hill stopping for coffee and food at Sponars Chalets, just after Perisher and Smiggins, before returning to Jindy.  Although when we leave Sponars those wishing to do the long ride will take the road to Guthega before returning to Jindy

Afternoon: Hodgee's activity arvo.  (now boyssss don't get too excited)  This will involve the bus taking us to Thredbo.  Here we have the option of Golf (team event for those interested), downhill tobboggans, Tennis, chairlift ride and walk to Kosi lookout, or the sport and rec centre pool facilities.  Those just wanting to rest can.

Day 3 Saturday
7 or 8am Ride 3 –Jindy – Tom Groggin return.
Long option - 127km.  Short option – where ever you want to turn around.

We ride to Thredbo village and over Dead Horses Gap. The descent will take us to Tom Groggin.  Here we will see the Murray River and turn for the return trip that will be the start of the days big climb up Dead Horses Gap, a 13km tree lined climb featuring switch backs and a gradient that will sting the legs. Worth noting here for the short option you can cut the 13km down as much as you want by not traveling all the way to Tom Groggin. Once at the top you can enjoy a down hill roll into Thredbo Village.  Here we will have a coffee stop, before taking the mostly downhill trip back to Jindy.

Great choice of routes mate. I can't wait.  Cheesy

Now we have to plan the KOM points!  Wink

How awesome would it be to have enough club riders for a peleton like in the Le Tour photo attacking the hills of the Snowy.  Cool

Maybe next year.  Wink

Better put your name on the waiting list Mick.  We might have some cancellations between now and next year.

Guys, I also noticed in the back of one of the recent aussie cycling mags that there is a training camp advertised in Jindy for 2-6th Jan so we may have some company on the roads and in the Pubs
