Not sure if the comy of the day noted this... but Mick Curran was seen to be drafting off a mechanically driven bike for part of the race... is this allowed?  Grin  I thought that only occurred at Track events?  It certainly added to the spectators enjoyment of the evening. Wink

PS for those not on the sideline to take in this visual yourself.... picture Mick chasing down what must have been a 35cm high pee wee motorbike with a large adolescent male on board.... was going pretty fast for its power:weight ratio, after an intense pursuit the A grade team caught him though.... I hope Mick offered him a job riding out front next year at track for the Keiren event (if thats what you call it)

Cheers for that Ken.
The match review committee has looked at the video footage and consulted with the match officials. Seems that there were 2 riders with the same number, after using the latest fascial recognition technology Pete will be awarded 4th.

Congrats to Murphs for his stunning "win" in B Grade on Friday night  Wink It's just a pity everyone else decided to do another couple of laps before winding up their sprints  Grin

And congrats also to Yoni for her fighting 3rd in C Grade - whilst the others decided to fight it out on the warm down lap  Shocked

I think Murphs just wanted to get to the pub early - I have no clue what Yoni was thinking  Huh

Hey, I got third in the sprint I contested and thats what matters to me .... of course unlike Murphs I did not do the both hands in the air victory wave as I crossed the line!

Congratulations to everyone who organised a VERY successful crit season or helped to make it happen.

The rider numbers have been excellent and very consistent, week in week out.  And the Sunday crit concept was very well received by all.

Well done guys and gals, hope for more of the same next time the sun shines in the evening.
