just had to get ahead in the count.

Friday Night crits are back - don't forget.  Be there by 6pm to register and race at 6:15pm.

ALSO, the gear (table, cones, signs etc.) needs to be brought up each week so if you can offer assistance to take some gear home and bring it back the next Friday, please let Wal, myself or anyone know about it on the night.  It takes up hardly any space so any vehicle can handle the load.

Friday 11th Jan.

thanks to A grade up & go guys for a massive hit out tonight, it may not have felt fast but thats the beauty of sitting in, trust me it was tough out front. Grin

it allowed my heart rate to get high and stay high.

the best bit was that even though the seniors controlled the race with the 8 or so guys you had you still couldn't manage to get the win. Tongue

where is my banana man side kick when i need him.

thanks again guy, i hope you gained something from the race tactics wise.

Friday 11th Jan.

thanks to the A grade up & go guys for a massive hit out tonight,

...[schnip]...

i hope you gained something from the race tactics wise.

The whole point of racing like we did was to get something from the race tactics-wise.  It didn't work entirely and you, fast eddie and the guy from Penrith that eventually won should be happy that you were able to diffuse it with plenty of hard work.  We have to work out how to make those sort of tactics work better.

I seem to recall a road race at Calga last year where you and banana boy did exactly the same thing.  I actually enjoyed chasing down each of your one outs (until expiry that is!).  There was really no need for anyone in the pack to chase the one out attacks down, but it was fun while it lasted.  Noone else complained about it either as I recall.

So, implosion aside, did you learn anything from the race?

Hey Mick - I got a lot out of the race, tactics wise, but I gotta tell you I felt bad for you guys!

I hope we leave tactics for away races in future, unless of course you have a little more backup.

For your info Phil didn't fel bad at all - he rekons you deserved it after all the times you and LVS have worked us over.  Grin

Spewin I didn't get the win though!  Embarrassed

We had a situation today were C ended up getting tangled up with B. In hindsight C were probably let go to close to B from the start. I found myself in unfamiliar territory & not really knowing what to do about it. I know you are not allowed to "tag" along using a higher grade for drafting but non the less it was difficult to run our own race in C.
By about half race distance we just ended up leaving a gap of 15/20 metres which I guess is what we should have done when we first came up to the back of B.
Advice please Smiley
