Just had a friend who has been very keen on the tour looking at giving the wonderful sport of pain cycling a go. Wondering if knows anyone that may have a second hand road bike for sale. Probably needs size 56 or 58. Is wanting something under $1500 if possible.

Yeah was just thinking that someone might have somethina bit better value for that kind of $$ because it is only really entry level for new. Maybe can get a decent 105 on clearance I suppose but also if there is something second hand for say $1k that leaves more money for other kit.

There a 56 or 58cm scott (alloy + carbon forks) at Hornsby Cycles for just over $1K.  Mostly 105 except cranks and brakes.

Plenty of other deals on new bikes if you're willing to hunt around a bit.

Ferraris don't count, everyone knows they are just for old guys in a mid-life crisis trying to 'pull chicks'.  Shocked
