I'm in solid training for 105 k ride in Canberra at end of October, part of Fitz's Challenge. Also part of corporate team for the Gong, which mind you I said I'd never do again because of inexperienced riders Cheesy but was sucked in by free shirt and payment of entry.
Our riding group usually gets a long ride in on Tuesdays, usually Peats Ridge/Calga to Brooklyn return. Entrance to Catho Hill Bay return also good ride.
Are any of you planning to tag along behind on the final road race for the season? Cheesy

Hi Cathryn
Great to hear from you.  You sound busy.
We are away at the moment so won't be at the last road race.  Hol might be there but not sure.
Crits starts soon.  See posting on this website for more details.  Im fairly sure that Hol, Yoni and I will at least be giving it a red hot go.  I assumed you would be too. Cheesy

Hi Lou and Cathryn,

Am going to be away now until the 30th.... will probably venture out for some sort of a ride tomorrow.... depending on how much I can push the generosity of my parents with my kids.   I will be going to the first Crit at Wyong on the 10th. if anyone is interested and also thought I would head up to Calga for the Time Trial on the 5th October....

I am going to be here and available for rides on 1st to 4th October... and would love to get in 2 long rides somewhere there and 2 short ones... let me know if interested.... have car will travel  Thought one of my short rides I might do up at Calga and refamiliarise myself with the Time Trial course.... which I have been avoiding.

See you on my return.... as am totally computer dependent I will have email while away!

Hey Yoni
I am looking forward to crits.  You might have to look at upgrading your licence.  I would suggested taking out a full licence which should cover you for the rest of the year plus next year.

Give me a call when you get back as to riding between 1st and 4th.  I should be able to get a couple in.

BULA!
Ok so Today.... I totally had a religious experience at the breakfast buffet and thought I should at least work some of the cocoa pops, french toast, bacon, and pancakes off before lunch (time when alcohol consumption is not considered OK to commence when holidaying in Fiji).... so I went on a "bike tour" that went from the Warwick Resort to the Naviti....  they wheeled out a mountain bike that looked OK but must have had some major issues.... because as I hit the first hill some malnourished looking 80 year old native fijian man with a BMX bike and a dog in a milk crate on front sailed past me.... as he did this he smiled a toothless grin my way, that looked like it belonged on the cover of a National Geographic Magazine.... I guess I will have to work on that power:weight ratio thing when I get back

Cheers
Yoni

Back on Tues 30th.
Keen to ride Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat and Sunday.... If I do an average of 180km up hill each day I will work off what I ate during the same period on holidays.

If you wait until the 2009 licences are open (October some time) you would be looking at around $195(Huh) for full racing licence.  There will be application forms available at the first Crits on the 10th.
