Thought I'd get in before Stumpy does to book the normal coffee ride for Saturday 27 September.

CCCC Masters riders are invited to chat about racing in 08/09 over coffee at Terrigal.  See http://www.impactcycling.com.au/index.php/topic,711.0.html for info about possible events

I'll wave if I see you guys riding past.

I'm just gonna go for a pedal on the bike track, I want some decent bike handling skills before I hit the tarmac

Yeah Murphs, clipping in and out under emergency conditions is a good place to start.  The track is a good place to practice.  God knows I should have practiced under "chatting" conditions....always too busy talking away to remember to unclip!  The intermittent bruises on my hips and elbows are interesting reminders!! I think its starting to sink in now....... Undecided

That's exactly it.

I just need to get some 'second nature' instinct about doing it in emergency situations.

Also not too confident with being on someone's wheel/someone being on my wheel but it'll come...

Have fun, looks like it's gonna be a great day to be outside, I'm sailing from 10am onwards so i may have a quad muscle mutiny

Saw you guys ride past me near Point Clare.

Had my own good ride from Gosford Sailing Club (I basically live there on a weekend, so it made sense) down to Woy Woy, around the roundabout (my first interaction with traffic) and back around to Gosford.

Didn't take my phone with me (see Sports Tracker thread in General forum) so you can't laugh at my lack of speed  Wink. I'm a little tentative about getting off the saddle to get power up hills etc so i just go high cadence-slow speed for now.

Might tag along next weekend, ten times more confident now than I was on the bike.... Also kinda addicted

Yup, 8:30ish.  We might have to hunt for a coffee shop if it's a nice morning. The latte set are out in force early now that the temperature is on the rise.

The usual cafe should be good, they don't serve breakfast until after we arrive, so there are plenty of seats...  Grin

About what time are you leaving the (Noraville) roundabout?  I'll have to see what Mrs Huggs and Clara are doing, but maybe we could join you to the Entrance, then drop off and rest...?

I wouldn't be able to keep up with Al (even to Pello) on that!  It is SOOO slow.  But I carried lunch and clothes for two to work this morning in my panniers, so it does its job.  (Not as comfy as my road bike either.)  It is a nice colour...

Don't forget while you are rolling around the coast to drop into the bike week bash at Gosford on Saturday.
