Hi Girls

Not sure if you are aware about the Jindabyne trip that will be happening between Christmas and New Year. This is four days of riding quiet and hilly roads with a bunch of riders from the club.

Each ride will be accompanied by a support van to store extra clothing, food, provide a head start if you like. Last year was the first time the club did the trip and everyone had a terrific time.

If any of you are keen to join in, I can organise seperate rooms but will need to do so soon. Last year we had the unfortunate timing of a few girls wanting to come along but neither wanting to be the first to book and because they didn't communicate with each other - none made it along.

Anyway - if you are keen, let me know or chat amongst yourselves.

More details are at http://www.impactcycling.com.au/index.php/topic,343.75.html

Mick and I are going.  Or is that coming?  Now for a new bike....

Any other women want to come with me?  Mick and I can't sit on the bus all by ourselves!

Hol

That would be the best Christmas present ever.... except to be allowed to do a Tour de France Heart Foundation Tour in 2009 (approx $5000 plus airfare and I think partially tax deductable).... However I dont think even my powers of womanly persuasion would ever convince my husband to agree to leaving him home with the kids.  When Graeme goes away we often employ a Locum to work in the clinic.... I wonder if there is some nice lady out there I could employ to hang around our house and cook and look after the kids.  She would need to be suitably frumpy, old and have a dental hygiene issue... I dont want my husband running off with the nanny while I am away!

If anyone knows a suitable candidate for this position I may make it to the Snowy Trip.

Cheers

Sorry Hol, Simon and I will be in WA, otherwise we would have liked to join you. Maybe next time. I'm glad Mick's caught the cycling 'bug'.  Smiley

Oh Yoni. Undecided...we've only got another 10-15 years to go before we can leave the kids to their own devices.....hmmm, maybe earlier if we can train them to cook and clean for themselves.  Gosh, less than 100 years ago children had to fend for themselves...I say bring back the old days!!!! Shocked Wink
Kane and I would have loved to do it too but Hamish is just too little and we don't have anyone to look after our kids - its hard enough getting the babysitters to commit to three hours!
Perhaps the girls should think about a little trip like the Hunter Valley where the dads would only have to be the "mums" for a night or two.  Hmm with all that "grape juice" around we might have to find the flat loops.

I agree, after talking to Andy I have added another drink bottle holder to my bike (supposedly for hydration) so that would be a spot for a red and a white wine as we went.  Somehow I dont think this is what Andy envisaged... but as my husband frequently tells me "you always hear what you want to hear".

Cheers
