Hey girls,

Would anyone be interested in a post new years session (with wine and cheese) to cover basic bike maintenence and get out of trouble repairs (without mobile phone use) in the early new year.  I am pretty sure I can convince someone to volunteer their services to us.

Also if you are interested I am happy to run anyone through all of the new changes to Basic Life Support for children and adults.... you can have a practice it is quite different to the way we all learned in school etc.  Might be of interest to those with pools and kids.

Mick has offered to receive the kiss of life from any ladies who need practice.  What a guy!

Miss Hol you are on fire..... OK will get out my diary and float out some dates... why dont we just do what we do best .... have a purely social night ie wine and cheese.... happy to host at my place or to go out somewhere that is a bit more central.   We can all come with diaries and think about what it is we each want to achieve for 2009 (cycling goals.... not world peace) and see what we can do as a group.

I am free to drink wine and eat cheese any night and anywhere.  I'll fit in!

When we have our diaries out, I suggest a women's team for this year's 'loop the lake'.  If husbands are riding at the same time, we might need to organise a little earlier than some of the guys in the 12 hour race have!   Wink

I am ok for get together after the 16th of January.

If we want to meet before that date I will have two rugrats in tow, unless one of the husbands wants to babysit. Kiss

OK Girls Lets catch up for a "pre - post New Year Get Together" scheduling event at the crits this Friday 9th.... I suggest that the Brokenwood Shiraz and Cheese that we will consume will be a catalyst for finding a venue and date.  If at the end of the bottle we still cant come up with a date.... we will have to repeat the process over and over until we perfect it..... see this is Women's Cycling at its best!

You can check dates with me as I ride past.  If you didn't have to drive you could play a new game called "Louise goes round, we thow one down".  Actually, now thinking about it, it probably is safe to play that game. Undecided

Oh we will be quite verbal I in our support of the girls tomorrow night.   But no drinking games for me I am afraid.... I am having the night of racing to rest for Token.... I dont think turning up with a hangover would go down too well with the team mates.   Kane is welcome to join us BTW, I will thrown in an extra glass.

<-----puts dress and high heels to contribute to this forum.

Yoni, is this some ploy by you and Murphs? He said he was saving himself for Token and not competing tomorrow night too.

I'll be devatasted if I'm the only one in D Grade and STILL lose!

Now that he has gone C Grade, Im not sure if he was just lessening the blow or in fact he IS going to show up and race.

I'll just sneak out now...is it TABOO to enter the WOMENS FORUM?

See ya tomorrow night!

No ploy... I will speak for myself and say I wont be racing but I will cheer you on as you sail by.  PS this is a racing club.... not a local touring group so I suggest you should head out each Friday night aiming to win regardless of who is there .... I know I do.... it just never happens that way.

I am unaware of any taboos re male presence on the women's discussion.... but if you guys want to be making a boy zone .... you can bet I will be in there!  I think it is a strange male quirk though ... this desire to kit up in heels and frocks.... especially those footballers.... I went to lots of end of year footy presentations and you could lay money on some boofy footballer putting on a sexy dress and doing a number to "I will survive".... disturbing to say the least.

Truth be known it is just jealousy on my part.... their legs usually look better in heels than mine!  Any man willing to put on a dress for a bit of fun must be pretty at home with his orientation.  Take this as an open invitation for entertainment at the yearly cycling club presentation boys!  Suggest Simon Huggins would cut a fine figure in heels
